This website was created in November 2021 initialy to publicise the catalogue of damaging, oftentimes illegal, actions of the “Gang of Four” former directors; Gawain Briars (Chairman), Steve Payne (Secretary), Richard O’Connor (Treasurer) and Gerry Hargreaves (Premises Chair), following their accession to power via the hostile ousting of the incumbent Nick Duckworth-led Committee at the October 2020 Extraordinary General Meeting.

Their activities, the details of which club members would have been predominantly unaware, led to several litigation processes being commenced against the club with the potential to cause such crippling financial and reputational damage as to result in the club entering into receivership.

Subsequently elected directors under the, then, continuing Chairmanship of Gawain Briars not only failed to challenge those historical, damaging actions but collectively supported the instigation of further damaging actions.

Those individuals with some element of complicity — thankfully now all former directors and former management — are listed at the foot of this page.

Though we're absolutely confident of the veracity of this site's content we would immediately remove any demonstrable inaccuracies brought to our attention.

Despite, within weeks of this website going live, threating to initiate defamation action neither those cowardly, former Briars-led directors nor the cuurrent James Dand-led directors — who without providing substantiation, metronomically trot out their facile mantra that this website brings the club into disrepute — have done so.

Despite indirectly hearing of several complaints that some content is "potentially defamatory and libellous", no such complaint has been received. More tellingly, no request to remove any specified, inaccurate content has ever been received.

That should be sufficient demonstration that all factual content is accurate and true.

UPDATE: Though the grossly corrupt Gawain Briars-led directors were supplanted in January 2023 the subsequent directors, initially led by Tim Garratt and now by James Dand, have disappointingly proven to be, to some extent, most comfortable with behaving similarly, as is detailed within the below updates. Power does indeed have a tendency to corrupt.
